The attack against Duterte!
Here are the example of hate speech against incoming Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte downloaded from various Facebook pages:
Raissa Robles is a journalist and is known as the fan of yellow government like outgoing President Benigno Aquino. Robles is a mini-critic of Duterte when it comes to his platforms.
This screenshot was downloaded from the facebook page, Showbiz Government. Showbiz Government is an anti-Liberal Party page that attacks President Benigno Aquino III, former DILG Secretary Mar Roxas, Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo, Senator Franklin Drilon and department agency secretaries Butch Abad, Joseph Abaya, Jose Angel Honrado, etc. when it comes to their job (especially NAIA bullet-planting scandal, MRT, Yolanda Funds, Mamasapano clash, etc.).
However, these hater retaliates by bashing the page itself saying that if Showbiz Government focusing attack Aquino, why not Duterte.
We know that Rodrigo Duterte made a remarks about journalist killings in the Philippines during his press conference on May 31, 2016. However, GMA News reporter Mariz Umali was being catcalling by Duterte while asking questions on him. His catcalling went controversial because it is the sign of sexual harassment but Duterte asserts that the catcalling was the "freedom of expression."
Meanwhile, Joseph Robert B. Lu, replied on GMA News tweet, threatens to kill Duterte. Lu was later made an apology.
Another example is these certain "Arlwyn de Guzman", claiming from Davao City, mockingly describes about the recent police operation there like the first picture. But on the second one, his post is rather annoying, insulting or mocking against Duterte especially when the TV stations forbid to cover his Thanksgiving party last June 4, however, CNN Philippines manage to cover it live. To make matters worse, the screenshot claims that "de Guzman" is a Duterte supporter-turned-enemy. The course of his comments were posted on June 4-5. The screenshots were posted in Rodrigo Duterte support page and it was dismayed much by support page members. Some netizens claim that people in Davao City would not make such attack mention above and also claim that "de Guzman" is not from Davao City anyway.
However, last June 8, when I try to search de Guzman's account, it is nowhere to be found - possibly deleted or his name was changed right after posting his comments (or he just realized that this post was being rained by destructive comments from Duterte supporters).
Ari Joshua McLaren's account turns out to be fake shown on first picture. On the second picture, McLaren made a statement about his fake account and you will see the difference: the small letter "L" on McLaren is fake while the real is the capital letter "L". Overall, McLaren will not make such hate post like the example above.
The fake account Ari Joshua Mclaren has been now deleted. McLaren is living in Brooklyn, New York.
To make matters worse, the Adolf Hitler-like "Jerome Martin" discriminately commented towards Visayan people in racism. The contents of the post is not harmful towards Duterte anyway. It states that the people of Visayas is the main cause of poverty in the Philippines and, for no obvious reason, the Visayan should be killed by capital punishment.
However, I search "Jerome Martin" and showing three results only that "Jerome Martin" with the profile picture of a girl in splice is nowhere to be found.
This screenshot is merely a joke for non-Duterte supporters but it is destructive or insulting for Duterte supporters. Jason Duranu's FB account has no friends yet and was created around November 2015. As of early June 2016, his account is still active.
This time, Facebook user Laurence Araula del Puerto both attack outgoing President Benigno Aquino and incoming President Rodrigo Duterte for "stupidity" of their jobs in government. More attacks are available at his timeline. Del Puerto's account is genuine and he has almost 1,100 friends. Who is the candidate being supported by del Puerto? I think that neither Mar Roxas nor Duterte being supported by him.
Ma. Elena Santos - is a yellow government fan - attacks Duterte, for instance, for refusing VP-elect Leni Robredo for his cabinet. More attacks of her available at timeline. Santos is also has no friends yet.
On the first picture, "Gado Aclao", with a profile picture of actor Alfred Vargas, made such an insulting post towards Duterte. The account of "Gado Aclao" was turned out to be hacked by alleged anti-Duterte supporter and it was active until June 7. The real Gado Aclao's account (shown on second photo) was back to normal on June 8.
Isko Magtanggol describes the Visayan people as "stupid", "ugly" or other harsh content. His comments is rather harmless towards Duterte on the first place, but the worst scenario is he and other Duterte supporters regretted of voting Duterte after the incident of catcalling of one of the GMA reporters a month before he can sit as the president. Magtanggol usually uses the word "manyak" in his post at anti-Duterte page Freedom Wall, and the most recent is June 12. Aside from Duterte, he even directly attacks netizens Gado Aclao (genuine, the fake one is anti-Duterte) and Ryan Hay Bautista, whom he claims that there are "gays" and "maniac".
CONCLUSION: In order to attack Duterte on Facebook, they will create new account or in some cases they will hack an account, and once it done, they are ready to go. Some of the hate speech against Duterte are made by, turns out to be, fake account.
One of the biggest critics of Duterte during campaign period is Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, Jim Paredes of Apo Hiking Society, and Facebook user Carlos Celdran. Trillanes is known for exposing the alleged bank account of Rodrigo Duterte, but Duterte only shows his balance almost P18,000. Right after the allegation, Trillanes made the anti-Duterte advertisement for P20 million and it was shown on ABS-CBN on May 5. Paredes, to this date, is still not moving on and continues attack Duterte in his Twitter despite being told by Duterte supporter to move on. Celdran previously apologizes for attacking Duterte supporters around December 2015 but he resume attacking by filing petition for Duterte resignation on early June 2016 but it was junked.
