Typhoon Nina, internationally known as Nock-ten, made a landfall in the Philippines on Christmas Day. It's wind measured 110 km/h. The typhoon rendered the houses and agricultures destroyed especially in Bicol region and about 87,000 families were evacuated.

However, Typhoon Nina is not only the topic on social media but also the Vice President Leni Robredo, who being slammed by Duterte supporters for Christmas vacation in New York City while her fellow people of Naga City - her hometown - and Bicol evacuated and suffered during the typhoon. Robredo's spokeperson Georgina Hernandez stated that her vacation was planned a year ago and she will going home to the Philippines as soon as possible.

There are some pages claiming that Robredo made help from US, however, a netizen debunked these pictures claiming that relief from USAID dispatched to the affected areas as posted by a staunch anti-Duterte and pro-Liberal Party page Silent No More. As fact-checking, the picture on the right is taken dated back on July 2015.

Another page claiming that Robredo is helping coordinate from US and the relief is dispatched that is busted by political analyst/commentor and Duterte supporter Sass Rogando Sasot. The picture on the right is actually taken on November 2013, the month of devastated Typhoon Yolanda.

After the destruction brought by Nina, the DSWD dispatched the relief goods to the Bicol region.

Some pages, especially to pro-Duterte, have made the another version of "Bahala Kayo sa Buhay Niyo", a reference quote from then-DILG sec. Mar Roxas where he and Tacloban City mayor Alfred Romualdez and the officials have a meeting, about a week after the typhoon Yolanda, about the response of the government to the victims.

There are some netizens who posted that within the six months Duterte administration had one typhoon entered the country on Christmas Day while the previous administration had no typhoons on six years. What he didn't know is one typhoon (Quinta) struck the country on December 25 and the next day, it flooded the province of Iloilo.
